COMPUTER COURSES  We offer a variety of computer courses through instructional led classes or through computerized self-paced study.  Courses obtained go towards the Microcomputer Certificate issued by the Alderville Learning Centre.   Instructor led courses are offered on an     on-going basis to provide courses for the beginner or the intermediate computer user.  Courses length may vary from 15 hours to 30 hours.  Alderville First Nation Band Members may be eligible for financial assistance.  Fee payers can expect reasonable rates for individual courses.   Payment must be made in advance.     




We offer occasional workshops and a variety of interest courses.  Courses have included:

Self-Defence for Women, Paper Making, Vermi-culture, Tarot Card Reading, Medicinal Herbs, Paddle Making, and much more.  Certificate courses offered on-site in partnership with area training agencies have included Leadership Skills, Community Service, Volunteer  Management,  Facilitator/Presenter,  WHMIS,   Assertive Communication, Coping with Grief,   and Business Plan Development.                                               

SELF-PACED MULTIMEDIA TRAINING We offer on-site step by step training modules in a variety of courses.  Manuals are kept on-site and certificates are issued upon successful completion.  The self-paced Microsoft programs are approved training courses and are recognized as Official Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) Training.  These courses are a solution for those who enjoy working independently and at their own pace.  Step by Step Courses include:   Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, FrontPage, and Outlook.  Training manuals are available for those who want a quick course or for those who want in-depth training.    Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is also available.  The WHMIS program is user-friendly and requires little computer experience.  A certificate is printed upon successful completion.
