Alderville Learning Centre
The Alderville Learning Centre is an Access Site for the Independent Learning Centre, Ministry of Education. Courses are offered through correspondence and you are able to start and finish a course at any time of the year. You are able to study when and where you want and can work at your own pace. There are two kinds of correspondence courses that is offered:
Secondary school credit courses leading to an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Non-credit Adult Basic Education courses in Adult Basic Literacy, English as a Second Language (ESL), and courses for upgrading in English and mathematics.
The Independent Learning Centre charges a $27.50 refundable administration fee. The Alderville Learning Centre charges $40.00 per half credit course and $60.00 for a full credit course (not applicable for Alderville First Nation residents, band members, or Native clients) . This covers our administration costs and allows students access to all services available at the Learning Centre -computer lab, photocopying, study area, and on-site exams.
